Long Scrape Professional English Horn Reed with wire.  The thickness proportions of these EH reeds are different from the oboe reeds.  The heart is proportionally thinner and the tip and back are proportionally thicker.  This creates a better EH sound and projection while still allowing good response and a wide range of dynamics.  A bit of plastic tubing helps keep the reed in position and sealed on the bocal.  Pitch is A440.

I understand that climate affects reeds. Even though my current location is the temperate (arctic in winter) shores of Lake Superior, in the past I have lived and worked in semi-tropical areas and in the desert and know how to adjust reeds for climate. I also understand how altitude affects reeds. I will adjust your reeds accordingly.
